Le Gang des Mamies brings authentic grandmothers’ recipes back to the heart of communities
Le Gang des Mamies is a social and culinary initiative founded by Julie and Farid that gives grandmothers an opportunity to share traditional recipes, earn additional income, and preserve culinary heritage.
What if the recipes from our childhood could become a new source of opportunity, community, and togetherness?
Le Gang des Mamies is a project founded by Julie and Farid in Montrouge, France. The initiative aims to bring authentic homemade recipes from passionate grandmothers to communities across France while giving them an opportunity to share their culinary knowledge and earn additional income.
The concept is simple: grandmothers prepare homemade menus using recipes passed down through generations. Each menu carries a piece of family history and culinary heritage, allowing customers to rediscover the authentic taste of traditional homemade food.
The first launch is planned in Hauts-de-Seine, with around 40 grandmothers forming the initial group. The ordering platform is ready and kitchens have been secured. The crowdfunding campaign aims to raise €20,000 to support equipment, training, communication, and the final preparations needed before launch.
Le Gang des Mamies also aims to support senior women, preserve valuable family recipes, reduce isolation among older generations, and bring different generations closer together.
The project will begin in Hauts-de-Seine, with plans to expand across Île-de-France and eventually throughout France.
Every contribution will help Le Gang des Mamies move closer to its launch and give traditional recipes, culinary experience, and homemade food a wider audience.
